seriously though, there is nothing more nerve wracking than a sick pet, and it's usually a very costly experience too:
one of our dogs had to go to the vet a few weeks ago because of something very vague (but to me dead serious); he wouldn't eat, he had a stomach ache and he was shrieking very weirdly and randomly...
no one knew what was wrong with him, they took xrays and blood tests and this and that, but the dog seemed fine... apart from him being sick that is 
don't you just wish they could tell you what was bothering them... think of all the time and money that would save
