EDIT 10/9/07:More color. And the glove. It was a pain in the ass to color, and it STILL doesn't look right. Any suggestions?
Mind you, I'm trying to stay true to the particular cel-shading style of Last Order, so the shading is supposed to be hard-edged, and the black outlines should be incredibly thin (still fixing that)..... but even so, the glove bothers me. And I think the arm needs more shading......
Feel free to comment and point out any technical things that are amiss. Like I had initially drawn Zack's shoulder armor wrong.

For the dull and lugubrious atmosphere of LO, do not try to found it at the start of your colourisation. See for example [link] : at the beginning I put natural colors, then I yellowed the result, to give the artificial illumination atmosphere. Same thing for [link] : my colors were natural, then I turned blue the result to obtain night atmosphere. It is a longer but surer way.

Thanks! This is the first scrap EVER to get faved or commented on.... or even really looked at. It makes me happy. At the rate I'm going, it'll be done soon.
What I can't figure out is why it got reported on y!Gallery for abuse or whatever. It doesn't look like a trace, it's not exactly like the original (unlike the Vincent pictures), it's not taken from official art or screencaps (I've looked for them, too. There AREN'T any official images from the end of the game yet.), and it was under the fanart section, so it is clearly understood that I don't own it. It's got me kind of frustrated.... but at least dA is fine with it....

Its definately your own work, i mean for one, your drawing it in the style of last order, and this part isnt in last order, so it cant be a copy surely?

The pose is the same. I ain't gonna argue with the folks on y!Gallery 'cause I don't want to end up in the Hall of Shame. I plead my case, and they explained the issue, and frankly, they're right. I just don't like the rule itself. But I was violating it. It DID get me a lot of watchers while it was up, so now people know to expect good things from me. It wasn't a complete waste. I got people's attention, and that was what I was after with the WIP posts, anyway. What makes me happy is that my original characters are getting a lot more attention on y!Gallery than they ever will here on dA. Fanart is all well and good, but I put a hundred times the effort into the OCs, and nobody here really seems to give a crap about them, with a few exceptions. T_T
Anywho, I'm not that upset now that I know exactly what I can and can't do. It was a learning experience!
