Like the concept, I would have made the sky more dramatic as said earlier. The cut out person is cool, makes me think of how you can get sucked into a fictional world and wish that life was yours.
Overall I think It's amazing

more dramatic sky.. but that would take the attention away from the cut out person.. <_<

very useful, I know = D

I do really love this, but at the same time for some reason the cut out of the person makes me hate it for some reason. I'm not quite sure yet. but the detail of the hole is awesome anyway.

Personally i think that the figure should maybe be only a shadow as everything u do in the past shadows your life forever in one small way or another

It(you)'s aliiiiiive! >.>

Ahem. I thought at first it was a shadowy person hanging, then upon closer inspection saw how it was a person-shaped HOLE... and I must say I think that's so cool. You did a really great job getting that crevasse to appear like something 3D made it.

Also, the giant depression on the book is fascinating, making me want to know what made it... I also love the little details on the cover of the book.

Love the colors and the texture. All the details in the pages are really nice.

Crit-wise I have really no idea. The negative space at the right work really well, and the piece really draws your eye to the person shaped thing.

This is a very interesting concept. I really like the urgency of your choice in painting and the detailed look of the pages in the book.

I remember constructing a castle of sofa cushions and retreating into it to read as a kid.

One question that just sort of popped into my head is Why did you decide to use cut outs in the book? I was kind of thinking it had to do with the idea that when you read a book you're sort of sucked into reading the really good books.

I hope this critique helps you in some way shape or form. ^_^
