I drew this version of Spacegodzilla with a short backstory in mind.

In this canon samples of Godzilla's blood is collected after the battle of San Francisco in 2014 by various branches of the US government. One sample of blood was sent to the ISS to observe the effects of the G-cells in zero gravity where something goes wrong and the satelite disappears with the sample lost in space. The sample regenerates a new Godzilla and he is drawn to earth due to his alpha kaiju instincts and , believing himself to be the real one, challenges the king of the monsters for his throne.
