the colored version of: [link]The pens I use are Tria, I am still learning different methods of coloring ... I rather like the "texturized" layers of color. Where the watery aspect of the pen pushes other colors around and make marks. I added just a vague background to give the whole image (specifically Sylvannas) some contrast.
I rather like the whole image and feel that this is the cumulation of my skills as an artist so far. I really hope to improve past this, but i am proud. ^_^

FYI - I sold the original of this to an eccentric sultan over the weekend and he's going to be displaying it in his fantasy themed luxury hotel in Dubai. Made a cool 5 million off of it so I bought my girlfriend some hilariously massive anime sized bewbs and picked up a jetpack for myself. Thanks!

I always wondered why Blizzard chose a Night Elf model for Sylvanas. Why didn't those lazy bastards just make a female version of the Dar'Khan model?

Hmm... aside from the missing arm, the linework's ok. The colors, however, are very nice. They're not too bright and are just well chosen in general. The texturing of the blood elf's skin seems kind of weird though. It's interesting, but it's not conducive to this work as well as it could be, although it looks like you may have just been experimenting with how the pens work. As highlights those textures would be great (such as you have on the hair).
Needs more work but you'll get there. The background is nicely stylish too, I like seeing a background rather than just flat linework to give some perspective or context.

Getting these pens do work more smoothly requires me to buy more pens. I rather liked the watery/texture to it, but i can see how it would detract from the overall piece. I really ought to break down and learn how to work water colors. I know they'd give me the feel i'm going for, and without a lot of the down sides. Working on improving my linework right now, in fact, taking two figure/anatomy/gesture classes a week. So far, it's as though i am learning to draw all over again! *whew*

they are pens, which are very ... wet. They mix with eachother very well, though it's possible to get pens that won't blend as well.

Nice picture! The colours almost bring it to life! 
I think it you would look even better if there were some backround surroundings (a forest, some trees etc.)! It would look more elvish!

I do like it a lot. I think, though, that I like the pure pencil drawing better and would love to see that one shaded in and added just as a pencil drawing.
Perhaps its because of the contrast of Sylvannas and the blood elf. LOL. Go figure since they obviously are different colours.

the pencil drawing makes clear a lot of the linework that the pens covered up. and it's cleaner, for certain! *nods* i may try to simply digitally shade the pencil jpeg.

Ask around, maybe there's an explanation for it? Cause it doesn't seem like there's a reason for them to wimp out because they had a high elf model, and now they have the new high elf model, and yet she's a still a night elf, which seems very very strange.

I am doing well, though my whole left leg still hurts (especially when it rains). I bought a new motorcycle (Ducati Monster ^_^!!!!!) and have been slowly getting myself back up to speed physically. I am thinking of taking a martial art, but probably will have trouble since walking still hurts! >_<
however, overall, i am good! Work is fun and busy, and i am thinking of going back to school soon.
