SO as most of you know by now, the wonderful Werelyokoman made me and InuGurl107 co-founders ofand I decided to make us a spiffy new group icon!

Well... technically Rick Stone, Richie's comic book counterpart is gay. But they couldn't show it in the show because well... It was the 2000's. Maybe if the remake/in other shows we'll get to see Richie as he was supposed to be...

They would probably use an already existing gay character that isn't being used or make a new one. Plus last time I checked Virgil is most likely heterosexual. I honestly don't think Rick's dad would approve at... speaking of which in the comics when Rick came out to Virgil he dismissed Rick at first.

The show was pretty revolutionary for its time, and who knows, maybe in the new YJ reboot, we'll get something like that!

I absolutely agree! I think that comics have been shifting towards more representation for a while, and with every not generation of animators/storyboarders/artists, those ideals leak into the media they produce. Its a slow slope, but I really think its happening!

This is so cute! I like the hearts and how they change from superhero costumes to their regular clothes. It really shows their awesomeness and how connected to each other they are. It's really awesome!
And also, I just have to mention this: My dad was looking over my shoulder while I was looking at this and I asked him why he was so close. His answer: "To look at the picture." My family has never understood slash, so yeah, that really surprised me and is really worth mentioning.
