Description This is a very hastily made pic that represents a scene in the novel, "Mass Effect: Retribution" Sorry I didn't put as much effort into it as I have in a lot of my other pics.
Basically, this is one of my favorite parts in the book. If you haven't read all three of the novels, you should.
Revelation sets the story up for the series. Ascension is really awesome, and sets up the story for Retribution, but Retribution is the best since it sets up the story for ME3. I'll paste an excerpt of the last chapter page. (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

***********************************************

“There’s more,” Anderson continued. “I want you to come with me. You’re the most brilliant scientist
in Alliance space. If we have any hope of figuring this out, we need you.”
He paused to give weight to his words before continuing. “I need you.”
“You’re asking me to leave the Ascension Project?”
“I know you love these kids. And you’re doing good work here. But nothing is more important than
this.”
She mulled it over in silence for a few moments, then nodded her acceptance.
“It’s what Grayson would have wanted.”
“It has to be what you want, too,” Anderson insisted. “Don’t do this out of guilt.”
“It’s not guilt,” she said. “I spoke to them through Grayson. The Reapers, I mean. They kept talking
about a cycle. They said our extinction was inevitable. I’m not going to sit on the sidelines and let that
happen.”
“I’m glad,” he said, reaching out to take her wrist, then pulling her close. “I didn’t want to lose you
again.”
He held her head in his hands, then leaned in and gave her a long, deep kiss on the lips.
“Better not let Nick catch you doing that,” Kahlee said with a soft laugh when he was done. “He’ll
bounce you off every wall in the station.”

Indeed. I was waiting for this to happen for almost the entire time I read this book.

wow that was an interesting insight to what me can expect from mass effect three. I know so far you have played the first two game all ways possible, but during first play through did you try and match the novel or is the concept completly different.
Anyways, this is a cute picture. I don't know too much about Anderson, but I look forward to meeting him again in the third installment. I got him to represent the humans on the council but I don't think he liked that too much lol Also don't know much about Kahlee, did we make an encounter with her in the first two games or is she just in the novel??? Questions questions questions, but you love it I hope.

Yeah. I've actually just read the entire plot outline from Mass Effect 3, and I wish someone would leak the actual script, so I can see dialogue of Anderson and Kahlee. I do know that Kahlee will be in ME3, and there will be a mission on Grissom Academy where she works. I'm so excited about it.
Well, the novel take place in the ME universe as being right in between ME2 and ME3. While it has some familiar characters, like the Illusive Man, Captain Anderson, and Aria T'loak, it centers around characters that until ME3 aren't mentioned in the game itself. Although, I know that two of them will be in the third game..Kahlee and Kai Leng(the illusive man's evil henchman, lol) I hope that we can see her and Anderson together in the third game.
Hehe, I absolutely love answering questions....mainly because I love talking about Mass Effect. You can get a good idea of what's to come from this cool intro video of the unfinished leaked beta: [link] And hey, if you love spoilers like I do..well, probably not. Most people don't like spoilers, lol. But yeah, I have the whole plot outline that I can pm you. It is epic! Every minute I'm not playing this game is driving me crazy....I'll have to put up with playing Skyrim until then, lol. Thanks again buddy!

oh wow thanx for showing me that Stef that was awesome. First I love their sexy new outfits and then it showed the kid with the figurine and I thought hey you lucky brat. Speaking of figurines, do you have any yet?, or do you plan to buy any?? I probably asked you this question before. I am gonna hint to my brother to get me the Normandy lol.
And just like in the second installment the intro puts you right in the action with those REAPERS!! Those things scare me enough. My hairs on my arms were tingling. lol and that feeling of epicness was returning to me as I watched it, I wanted to jump that guy who was playing it and take control lol.

And now you are playing skyrim you lucky girl how is it. I want to steal the game from my brother who is playing it at the moment.

do these mass effect spoilers give away the ending??? I wouldn't mind a few spoilers lol but I don't want to know the ending. but then again, depending on how you play the game will depend on the games ending so. . . hmmmmm what you got lol

Jessismith In reply to littlegoblet [2011-11-14 18:52:46 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. The kid could have been a good addition to the game. Maybe could have even been an orphan under the care of the normandy, and could follow Shepard around on the ship, lol. But sadly, he didn't survive the reaper attack.
Nah. I haven't bought the figurines yet. But I do plan on sculpting my own in the future. I just find them too expensive for a bit of plastic that will sit on my shelf most of the time. I know that some cool collectable stuff is coming with my collector's edition purchase, so I'm eagerly awaiting those.
Haha! That's the bad thing about walkthroughs...having to watch someone else play the game instead of me, lol. Although, if you want to see some gameplay from the first parts of the game, this guy [link] has some excellent videos. The quality isn't great, but you can see a few of the first key plot elements, and the first two levels.
Hehe, Skyrim is pretty cool. There are a few things I hate about it though. The interface is kind of hard to use..really confusing to navigate, and all of the text is too small for me to read on my little tv. As far as gameplay though, the scenery is even more beautiful than Oblivion. And there are more fun elements....funny, quirky characters, etc. Kind of like in Fable. Even kids are running around, which makes the story more complete I think. Hehe, you should watch your brother play. That's what I did before playing it so that he could teach me how to play, lol.
Yeah. The spoilers do give away the ending. Also, there are some sad moments....like when you have to sacrifice some of the people you care about. It is a true war story. I guess I'll tell you one neat fact that you might want to hear though. To whoever else might be reading (SPOILER ALERT There are still some living Protheans. One of them is named Guardian..I think, and he helps you throughout the game. ;D Hehe, okay that's probably all I'll say for now.

Oh noes poor little brat lol it is a shame he didn't make it.
I watched those films from the link you gave me thanx for that. I noticed in one video Shepard comes accross a boy in the airconditioning duct I assume that is him?
It would neat to see some self made mass effect figurines from you.
lol I see even some people make the ships out of lego. they are very talented
I had so much trouble with the first oblivion so it will not suprise me if the controls give me a headache again this time. Can you change the controls in the options panel? I hope so. With Dead space one on the pc I almost changed the whole controls because it was so confusing. When I played the second one on the xbox it was so much more simpler.
Oh my Gosh (SPOILER ALERT) More Protheans now I got goosebumps again. I realy am suprised and excited to hear that. Oh and the sacrificing my peeps thing is going to be so tough for me. But I think that is what makes the mass effect frantise so successful is having to make such hard decisions. Thanx for the insights buddy. only got about three more months to wait

Jessismith In reply to littlegoblet [2011-11-15 21:20:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I almost cried watching the scene when the kid dies...but yeah, he is the one that Shepard tried to help in the air duct. If only he had followed Shepard. xP
Yeah. I would like to try out sculpting humanoids....that's one thing I desperately need practice with. Hehe, now legos....that's an idea.
Yeah, the controls are a huge pain in the neck. And yeah, I have not been able to change them around, except for the fact that I can flip it to left hand if I want to...I think. Although, I don't think it matters much, or makes much of a difference. Once you get the hang of it, it isn't so bad. I'm just disappointed that most of the menus make you hit the left or right trigger to select stuff rather than just the "A" button, lol...sooo confusing. On the bright side, I just learned that you can get married in Skyrim! I'm so excited, because I am such a romantic, hehe.
Yep! (Spoiler Alert) The Protheans will return! And we will get to see them! And yeah. But I can tell you that no romance-able characters will have to be sacrificed. So I'll get to keep my Kaidan, lol. And hey, no problemo. If I find any more videos from the beta, I'll show them to you.

littlegoblet In reply to Jessismith [2011-11-16 08:53:18 +0000 UTC]

yeah it will be a confronting part of the story but then it will just make kicking the reapers butt feel so much more satifying in the end lol.
Oh I see, coolness in getting married. My only worry is not being there all the time for my partner because I will be too busy adventuring. but I guess it is just a game so they will forgive me lol

lol I am glad I don't have to sacrifice the one I am romanticly involved in or it would be hell lol. thanx buddy It would be neat to see more vids

Jessismith In reply to littlegoblet [2011-11-16 18:02:37 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah. There are apparently 6 different endings....all related to exactly what choices you made in the game. I'm praying that I'll do everything right so that I can give a proper payback to those Reapers without any setbacks.
Yep. The good thing about Skyrim is that your partner doesn't ever seem to care how long you're gone for, lol. As for my husband, he is a strong warrior, and a member of my clan, The Companions. So he can follow me wherever I want him to go. He also opened up a shop so that I can earn half of the revenue whenever I come back from travels. So many neat possibilities.
Yeah. I agree with you on that. As long as we know they won't die, well except Thane..forgot about him, they're with you to the bitter end.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Jessismith In reply to Jessismith [2011-11-21 02:47:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. I will probably see all of the endings too, since I have so many characters, lol.
Yeah, having a spouse in the game is pretty awesome, and yeah, you can dress them up however you like too. You can also take all of their stuff from them without them getting mad at you, lol. xD The only thing I was sad about was that my character is a Khajiit, and there are no marriable Khajiit males in the game. But there are tons of sexy Nord guys, lol...Farkas and Vilkas in particular.
Well, in the early written outline, they had written that he would die....but the writers said that the draft that was released was not final at all....basically just a very early story concept. I heard someone say that at least in the collector's edition, there would be some extra side story quest where you could find some miracle cure for Thane's condition. I really hope there will be, since I have two of my characters with him.

oh wow and I would love to see all six endings too lol. yuppers I wonder about my decisions too.
wow it is good to hear that your spouse can actualy be a bonus in the game with the skills they have. It is like having a hireling except that you are romanticly involved. So can you dress your spouse aswell and get cool stuff for them?? Forget about Thane you say?? Sniffle. oh now I gotta ask, does that poor fellow die from his illness

Jessismith In reply to MasterArt40000 [2011-10-16 16:30:39 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. She is supposed to have dark blonde hair. That was the base I started with, but I ended up going way overboard with the burn tool...but it ended up looking more like I had envisioned her. Even still, I have just made her hair just a few shades lighter to hopefully get a bit closer to how it was supposed to be originally. Thanks for the comment.

Your welcome. I guess???

I hope personally if you see her in Mass Effet 3 she is voiced over, and looks, like Amanda Tapping, because of her natural blonde hair.

Well, in the book they described her as being strawberry blonde, if I am remembering right. It probably is too red, but I guess this is just how I envisioned her to look. She probably looks like this when she isn't in the sunlight, lol. Thanks for the comment.
