So... it's been a while since I read up on mainstream X Men continuity. And also a while since I've used a real pencil to draw something!I have been inking directly over non repro blue sketchy linework for so long that I can't remember the last time I fully rendered something in lead!
That's what happens when a person knows no inker
about 3.5 hours
I wanted to draw the original team, in their original outfits.
Then I was thinking about it and decided that it would be better to draw the originals in their more recent "looks".
Oh X Men, you never cease to amaze me with your constantly changing wardrobe.
I have drawn Archangel in this outfit style before. But now it's more GOTH... if it were in color you'd see his grey and darker grey newer X Force getup.
This is definitely NOT Stan Lee's X Men!

I like how beast looks like a were-terrier. LOL Like from iZombie but waaaaay buff. Archangel's face is my favorite thing about this drawing. The drawing is great, BTW. Archangel's face really looks like it should here. I think you would make a fantastic Xmen artist, if only the Xmen were as fun as they used to be. MARVEL IS SO BORING NOW!!!
Yeah..you should totally draw Teen Titans. Actually...you should draw Robin, Red Robin and Nightwing. I would love to see a group drawing of all the robin incarnations. Or just draw Carrie from DK returns!

This is the most innovative interpretation of Beast I've seen in a while. Well DONE, sir! Well DONE. Why is it when you draw them I pronounce it (SE)X-Men?

You put ANY group of horned up kids together in a house that are all ashamed and trying to control themselves and it's just a melting pot of hormones and.. You know they have a pool, right?
If curiosity wasn't in place before the pool party, it certainly was after-wards.
Rules like curfews and segregated wings of a giant mansion just leads to kids testing boundaries and trying their damnedest to break them.
And I bet ol' Chuckie is havin a ball sittin in his room while the kids get all angst ridden. Psychically listening in on their conversations and waiting for the moment to say "naughty naughty, come. Let's have a private chat" Hee Hee
