I LOVE this drawing. I think it really captures the character. J.M. Barrie's Hook is one of my favorite characters.

This one is just lovely. I'm always on the look-out for a good Hook. ANd cudos for drawing Hook of the book and not Jason Isaacs. (Not that I mind Jason Isaacs in the least, rather the oppotite, actually)

I read the novel shortly before, so I wanted to draw the picture of Hook I had in my mind! Thank you for your nice comment!

I love the novel, and I love finding artwork based on that and not the movie, even if I loved the one from 2003. It's hard to draw someone likeness, and most fanart of Jason Isaacs as Hook becomes pretty lifeless- it's so much more refreshing to find an original interpretation.

shi painter is an oekaki program...very small and simple versions of a drawing program like corel painter or photoshop(with layers and all), but as an java applet. You register to a board (it's free and there are uncountable boards on the inetrnet) and then you draw and it is posted so that other people can comment it.
But beware, when you decide to join a board, alwas test the upload funktion before making a picture. ther are a lot of java and browser setting problems when starting...

The board I usually draw: [link]
We don't mind beginners.
A very good board: [link]
The "owner" has also a deviant art account
