Hey guys! It's been a little while. Sorry for the long wait. This is my final redesign of Lagoona Blue from Monster High. The thing she's holding is an egg. Sorry that the hands are crappy in that drawing. I'm really trying. Hope you guys like the clothes in this one too. I worked hard at making them Lagoona like. Yea!! A humanoid! YeaΒ i love them though I'm devoted to centaurs the most, then satyrs(aka fauns) and mermaids *.*Β
I really like the placement of the scales, because prospective is VERY important to me, as to humanoids, beings having both human and animal parts, you want to convey that a lot to exude their creatures they are and not get too focused on one part!Β
I think you did great and showing that! The flesh tone colors as well!Β
She looks terrifying and i like that instead of what a lot of artist take advantage of in female humanoids as being "pretty" and just happen to have animal parts in order to appeal to guy-point of view, making it a bit unrealistic in some way or unnatural. But it depends if too your going for practical or fantasy or a fusion (both)
She reminds me of siren.
Those eyes look malicious though, lol!Β

In prospectiveΒ concept its only natural as to cultural myth as for specific monsters to live up to their making and function as Sirens and Harpies being female beings whose purpose is to attract men ^.^
Outside of it I'm not so fond of it when not devoted to mythology and folklore.
(I an incubus to entertain me ^.^ lol)
