Again, this was just a little thing I started messing around with because I just loved the background, while I was working on something else. Turned out to work quite well so I kept working on it

This was sort of a requiem for a love I recently lost. Catharsis, I guess. I will briefly explain the images I used....

Ok, the sea is because we both love the beach and went there together, the field is because we spent many hours in a nature reserve near my house during the summer of '04, and then again later on in his car in the winter of '05 outside the nature reserve, being together when we shouldn't. The bench is there because the first time we met up properly we met at a bench by a duck pond in the town he lives in and it became our traditional meeting place, the rusted bike is because he loved bikeriding, so did I, and one time he cycled all the way to my house and we went for a bikeride together. The initials carved in the tree, dripping with blood, are "J L" and "M B". The tree is there because we spent some time at a field with old castle ruins and a spring, and it started raining so hard and he tried in vain to keep me warm and dry but we both got soaked. The tyre swing was at the same place, there was a big gnarled tree with a tyre swing, which has for quite a few years been just a rope. The plane is a Hercules, because I remember him telling me he was the only one who fell off it while working on it at Marshall Aerospace.

Ok, nostalgia trip over. The title of this is the name of an Alter Bridge song, a song he sent me back when I was with someone else and couldn't bear to listen to it because I didn't want to hear it, I didn't want to have to choose, and I made the wrong choice. That song became my anthem afterwards.
