OMG. This book is AMAZING!!! I won't give a spoiler in case you guys read it (WHICH EVERYONE SHOULD) but for those who HAVE read it you'll know what I mean when I say:OMG! Calo! Galdo! BUG!!! <--- I was actually sobbing. Physically weeping.
Calo and Galdo Sanza, you are two hot twin sunzabitches.
Bug, you adorable cutie.
Jean, YOU IS FAT! But we love you still.
And Locke. Locke Locke Locke. Locke Lamora, I LOVE YOU!!!
Liz said I wouldn't love Locke best (the main character of the book) because he's not actualy hot. he's skinny and plain. BUT ZOMG! I love him anyway. There's something about his skinnyness and the fact that everyone says he's ugly which just makes me adore him.
and: Horse piss! LOCKE NO!!! Locke, you can't die you skinny gorgeous ugly gentleman bastard!!! (it's a compliment, seriously) <-- again, read the book.
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch is officially my favourite book ever. (well alongside the dark tower series) I'm hooked. I haven't even finished it. And OMG THEY'RE THIEVES!! THE SEX!!! (I swear if someone pickpocketted me while I'm in this mood I'd marry them.)

They finally translates this book into my language and started to sell it in my local bookstore ... and now i have nightmares they won't translate the rest of series hehe

I totally agree with you! This is probably THE best novel ever! LOCKE IS THE MOST AMAZING CHARACTER IN THE HISTORY OF THE KNOWN UNIVERSE! *eh ahem* *regains composure.
That being said, I really like your sketches, particularly Locke and Nazca! They are quite lovely... and this series really needs more attention. It's THAT good! Nice Job!!

Locke Lamora is absolutely brilliant! Everyone should read it! Again and again and again! And then read Red Seas Under Red Skies, and then wait in annoyed anticipation for The Republic of Thieves, which is coming out next month, as you REALLY want to know how Scott Lynch intends to get out of the hole he wrote himself into! I have a pretty good idea, but I won't speak it here for those unlearned philistines who have yet to read the gloriousness that is Mr. Lynch. So go! Read! And Jess, I did exactly the same thing when I read that bit. And in Red Seas as well. He seems to be making a habit of doing things like that. It's annoying. : ) READ!

Especially the complexity of it - but that's also one of the most frustrating points. I think he should do a Simarillion type of thing, and a bestiary, if only of the things in the Brass Sea.

I wasn't sobbing 'till two hours after I read it. 'cause I was reading it during class, and I wanted to scream like: "NOOOO", but I couldn't, 'cause everyone would give me that strange look they usually do when I'm caught up in my book.
So then I came home from school and I closed the door behind me and got all: "AAAAAH NOOO"
