Hey everyone! There's this new thing called an OPINION! It makes it okay to have preferences and not like things other people like! Seriously. Just because he hates torchic, he sucks? No. Really now, torchic is my favorite PokΓ©mon and this doesn't bother me at all.

Torchic was my first pokemon. I liked the color red when I was small, so, when I played this game and got to the part where you chose your starter, I chose this one. I got so far without reading a single thing. about the 7th gym. I got to the part where the place is bright and then raining, but by then, I had no clue what to do. so I just walked around random places until my Torchic got to level 73 or something like that. when I came back to the game later, when I could actually read, I had no clue what to do. I feel like I asked everyone, but they just said something like "Go. Now. You can save us." So I never really beat the game...

Also, remember the disaster/apocalypses that happen before meeting the legendary? Imagine that in 3D!Β
In the Sapphire remake the storms would be awesome in 3D, and they could even show the normally calm areas in the water have crashing waves. In the Ruby remake they could show the dirt and soil dried out and all of the grass and flowers would be dried and dying as well.

I'm not surprised by the fact that you don't like it, it's just that people have mixed opinions about it. Some people love it, some hate it, some are indifferent to it. Most people were just getting older and getting out of Pokemon when this game came out. I'm just curious as to what your reasoning for disliking it is before we continue.

I dislike it because its a rather pretentious game.
It tries too hard to be "unique" and just ends up being too bad.
That and most of the pokemon are either forgettable ((most of them)) or overrated beyond belief ((AKA Fighting KFC))

Please don't judge all 1er I've also started with the 1 gen. But my favorit is the third 1 and the 5 and 6th I like much. And honestly? Precisely because of this stupid genwunnern think the many who started with the first they hate all the newer gens.

There's nothing wrong with being a fan of the first gen, it was amazing, but you have to learn to love all of them. Gen 5 might have been the worst gen yet, but I'll admit, it had a couple really good ones. And it also had a lot of good innovation, like most games. Β And gen 3...it has some flaws, but it's probably my favorite generation.

...personally, I think light would have been a MUCH better type, but then dark would probably weak to that...
I might not be a big fan of the fairy type so far, but I'm all for making dragon a bit weaker, and fairy might turn out better than we know. Fairy I can accept, though I hear in addition to the cotton candy, X and Y will also have a sushi roll and a bag of potato chips. They need to lay off the food pokemon...
