Description First off, I would like to thank *KrisCynical , with her permission I borrowed several techniques and peices of her style to draw this character.

I am VERY happy with how this picture came out, Illusor has always been a particularly difficult character for me to draw properly, and hitherto I have failed to finish even one drawing satisfactorily. Since I've been getting alot of people asking to see a drawing of Illusor, I made considerable effort to get this one right.

I only did one layer of inking on this picture, I liked the softer quality alot better. Also it helps illustrate the differences between this and my standard of "double-inked" work. ^_^ (sometimes even triple-inked... )

anyways, Illusor is one of my ORIGINAL CHARACTERS, (so no stealing.) he also appeared as a Chibi in my comic "Irate Healer "

it's more like a winged mouse actually. (based a little off the "kangaroo rat" )

Ah, okay I can see that now. Mouses are usually less roundish in the face, though they have rather sharply triangular features.

"mouse-like" it wasn't specifically a mouse either, I actually based the face off of a creature I saw in an Anime once.

actually, I think you'd really like the creature designs in this anime, the monsters are just beautiful!

it's called "12 Kingdoms" ... I dunno if you can find it, ... I had a hard time locating it myself, but if you do spot it on YouTube or something take a look.

It's got Kirin and stuff too, so maybe that'll also interest you.

I actually watched some of 12 Kingdoms with YOU and Stephanie. My favorite story was the one about TaiKi, the black KiRin, and Shoryu the King of En was my favorite character. I started considering a series of my own that would have a similar theme, with many kingdoms all of different magics (also influenced a bit by Avatar)

I couldn't remember! so many people have seen it, so many others HAVEN'T even in the family, and I watched alot of it just me and Stephenie.

though, there's a second season out now, which Steph and I are HOPING finishes Taiki's story.
