Here's my design for Mileena. Tried to go for some kind of horror motif. I guess at this point she isn't really going to fool anyone into thinking she's Kitana...Related content

Yeah but they're trying to make video games more feminists friendly now. You know how there's some movement to have sex appeal toned down in comics and video games. So goodbye to dead or alive xtreme beach volleyball and hello to dead or alive xtreme feminists bookstore.

chrisfrom82, recently Anita Sarkeesian gave a glowing review and recommendation for a game called Swords & Sorcery, and I watched a vid showing it's overall increase in sales since she did. Guess what her endorsement was worth? Absolutely nothing. It didn't make the game's sales increase one bit. Despite it featuring a strong female protagonist, being everything they apparently want, and being endorsed by Anita herself, the entitled upper-middle class feminist demographic they're now pandering to still couldn't even bother to shell out $7 for it. I sure hope developers are happy with their new target audience!

Exactly! The double standards never cease, but pointing them out is futile since these special snowflakes seem to think the entire world should change to accommodate their precious feeeeeeelings. If sales drop enough then developers will take note and try to figure out what's wrong. Luckily companies like Rockstar and Bethesda seem to be ignoring the SocJus censorship squad, but I suppose time will tell since Gearbox caved to them. In MKX I think that pretty much all the costumes (except Scorpion and Subzero of course) look like shit altho they do have the Klassic costumes for Mileena and Kitana from what I saw. Aside from that I have many issues with the game: only 2 fatalities per character with NO stage fatalities and no other -alities of any kind. We have the children of Sonya, Johnny Cage, and Jax, but the aforementioned three are still in the game even with new characters who fight similarly. I wouldn't have an issue with this except they cut fan favorites like Jade and Baraka from the roster. Yep, it looks like if I do buy this game I'll be picking up the ultimate edition with all the DLC when it goes on sale on Steam.

But remember when mortal kombat and other games could have blood mode on or off? How about sexual content mode then? For example in the next soul calibur game Ivy's outfit has been described as some kind of g-string stripper bikini but if you turn the sexual content mode off it will change to Ivy topless with the words "don't objectify me" painted on her.

I remember when Mortal Kombat was controversial, and the criticism it got from parents, politicians, etc. only fueled its sales and drive to constantly be even more than what it was (Mortal Kombat 2, anyone?) Speaking of a sexual content mode, wasn't there a Dead or Alive game that had a configuration for things like boob jiggling? Blood, gore, and violence have been done to death (no pun intended) so it seems like the next frontier of video game controversy is sexual content and attractive female characters. I hate the comments on this pic have turned into this sort of discussion, but I suppose they're things that need to be said. Netherrealm did say that they toned down the female characters' physiques in order to be more 'realistic' altho I think we all know the truth.

But the lesson here is to each their own really everybody has their own taste. I understand the issue of sex appeal in formats like video games and comic books people like us think it's hot, others say it's offensive and demeaning, while the rest say it's just plain tacky now.
