Made it to day 2!

While my daughter went literal with her drawing (which I thought was pretty cool. Spooder in a spooder... ) what popped in my head was Nicholas Benedict from The Mysterious Benedict Society series.

In the prequel, Nicholas is in an orphanage which has a trio of bullies called, "The Spiders". They, of course, have it in for Nicholas who is small boy with a large nose and narcoleptic to boot. He survives and eventually makes the best of nearly every situation he's in. A fun book and my favorite of the series.

Although I'm pretty satisfied with how Nicholas came out (It's been a looooooooooooooong time since I've drawn a person) I do wish I could've changed the composition of the silhouettes - have them lean in instead of out. Might have made them seem more menacing. Oh well. Next time.
