It was awesome and so unexpected! If I lived in Pittsburgh I would be at the Aviary every week, especially the rainforest with the rollers. So peaceful and nice! Every second I thought he'd fly away and couldn't believe he stayed. Thanks for the fave!

Absolutely! We got messing and dirty and got to interact with many of the birds on a one on one basis. Would totally do it again!

I used to pick up worn out butterflies after a mating fight, good way to get a close look at them before they caught their breaths and flew off. Have you ever tried that?

I haven't had one land on me, maybe I just don't smell right to them. Butterflies can be beautiful though.

One will someday. It means good luck, or I tend to think it's a sign I'm on the right path in my life.

Yes, I know! I was one of the best days! To be trusted by such a beautiful bird, amazing! Even though he was in an aviary, he could've easily chosen not to come to me. I was so nervous I would scare him off right away.

LOL, I know! I did my best to be a statue, then a line of kids fed him live worms which he accepted like a king, lol!

True, that's why the saying "eat like bird" never made any sense to me. They eat all day long, just small amounts.
Thanks for the watch and llama!

Thanks. Funny thing, I'm used to muddling through things since way back but if my brain kicks into gear before I forget to ask questions I'll def. go your way. Like they say: "It's always easier when you read the instructions." LOL

Thanks! He was amazing! He lives inside a large, free flying rainforest aviary so it was his choice to come down to my hand or not. I highly recommend everyone visit the National Aviary in Pittsburg. They're the only one in the U.S. and they survive many on donations.
