lol I do really love to abuse the render tool and glow functions.This is digitalized version of the sketch i did [link]
I don't know how to draw animals properly. but I like how this turned out generally. or know how to draw guns.
But an attempt to draw somewhat manry picture of Canadaaaaa.

Very charming artwork, I must say. Indeed, the composition is simple, yet very endearing. The colors must've added the elegance of the art, most especially the overall background. The starry night sky is probably the best starry night sky I have ever seen yet. I am really amazed on how the shooting stars were made.
I also like Canada's and Kumajiro's expression. Made me smile a lot.
My only concern is Canada's left foot. For me, the boot looks a little strange, I find it a little distracting.
Overall, a very charming job here. This just proves that a simple composition can even make the strongest impact.

This is really a very strong picture. Excellent coloring and lighting, and great job on the background. It's simple, and yet very elegant. The shooting stars were a good idea, but the lens flare you added is a little distracting.
I love Canada's expression. Very simple, and yet well done - something in his face makes me smile like an idiot. However, his foot seems a little strange - it might just be that feet are stupidly hard to draw. And I like how Kumajiro is looking up at the sky - excellent job with his face, by the way.
Overall, it's very strong, simple, and elegant. I love it.

I can feel the freezing cold night just by watching this picture, and it does feel magical!
Canada is just too cute and MOE to look manly even with a gun, but well... I like him like that!

Since I'm not a Premium Memeber I can't use the critique option.
I say that the picture is very well done. The color and shading are top-notch and the body position is quite nice (something I have a little trouble with).
The fur of the Polar is executed nicely, especially with it brushing against Canada's back.
The effects of the night sky is quite grand as well. I enjoy the special glowing effects of your stars, which really brings out the scene quite beautifully.
The only flaw I notice in this picture is Canada's right arm. His forearm (elbow to hand) is slightly too short and should at least reach close to the knee (I positioned myself to see the length) or maybe the right leg is too long. As I was using my body to measure the length of each body parts.
Though it's hard to be 100% on body portions I give your artwork an A.

Canada with a gun is kinda scary. Heh, so easy to forget (heh!) he actually is a military force.
I love how him and Kumajiro are out, in what looks like, protecting and watching over their land. I love how used brown instead of black for your lines too.
