Random Jivra chibi doodle.
This one turned out pretty nice I'm tempted to print this out for a t-shirt or something.
I just need to figure the colour brightness balance because apparently the brightness on my monitor is different from the printer. Those two does not agree with each other for some reason.

I really like this version of Jivra! 
Whenever I get my stuff printed out, I change the color profile in photoshop to Adobe 1998. (edit(Image?)>convert to profile) I think that is the industry standard when it comes to most printers (or so I was told). the sRGB3.918(whatever it is) isnt really suited for printing I dont believe.
CMKY might help with certain printers(Image>Mode>CMKY), although alot of printers now-a-days are designed to automatically convert RGB -CMKY, so you might not see too much of a difference. But I think it depends on the printer.
But yea...your way works fine for a home printer

Make a copy, lighten the colours till it looks good as print.
