Description Long time ago since my last personal matte painting, this one based on Robert Stromberg's concepts and work ( Planet Bajor ), I decided to take some of his elements and build a city around those designs.

I will be posting some making of here on my facebook page :

Awesome picture. I would say that this city would be amazing in star wars.

Well Jjasso - greatly done and I hope the forthcoming ALL NEW Star Trek Series will be good ! - It is great how you combine all known Bajoran Architecture and Building like these Cooper Roof Shinung hemisphered Tower Buildings - - which we did also saw in the Deep Space 9 Star Trek SeriesΒ  - which are majorly OLD Bajoran Building with new Ones. Typical for the Bajoran Architecture is that the Bajorans that they take care to old Historical up to Bajoran Medival Age and Ancient Buildings ( often also restored like here on Earth)Β  with all new Modern Buidings - so that the Bajoran Cities - as also small Towns etc. look like a crude Mixture of Bajoran Historical and all new Modern Buildings.
- What many also don't know is for example that the Klingon Medieval as also Ancient Age was much longer than the Ancient and Medieval Time on Earth which is based of course to Gene Roddenberry'sΒ  Idea that other Human Like
Races could have made a much slower Technical Progress etc. in their History than Mankind at First. - But meanwhile we could not be sure if there is on behalf of Mankind still an Alien Influence on our own technical Progress as I refer to the UFO Phenomenon here on Earth and within our entire Solar System - like on Mars and on our Earth Moon . The STAR TREK Universe however created by Gene Roddenbery is of course a Fictional Idea but it is of course a real good to great Idea - including Dyson Spheres and much more...Let's hope that Mankind & Earth will make much more further Progress (like in Star Trek) and will not be shattered soon by - perhaps - very various Causes - like the Civilasation that may have once existed on Mars or on the probably destroyed further Earth Solar System Planet that may probably form "today" the Asteroid Belt... Yet we know little about the real impact and nature of the Universe but I think that our Imagination and Fantasy also can give us an indirect 7th-8th Sense mythical perhaps almost profund and perhaps quite correct knowledge on how other Planets with Intelligent Life and Alien Civilasations may look like - I think there is much more Power and more abilities in our Minds than we think. Even so much will surprise us also - for example - if Aliens really have the ability to built 5000 Miles Large Spaceships etc..

This is one of my all time favorites. It's been on my desktop for a year and I never bore of it, but I'm curious how long did this piece take you to finish? Β It's so detailed and just amazing...

Looking for a futuristic cityscape - depicting a place someone might actually want to live - I found this image: and Your "City by the Bay," jjasso.deviantart.com/art/City…

Colors and atmospheric perspective of "Coppernia city" are the best match for what I wanted - - - and the foliage here is a big 'plus.'

I took the liberty of making a reduced-scale (658 pixel wide) copy of this image, to use as a blog post that will appear about 18 hours from now.

The copied image is stored on another domain - but the blog post's image will include a link to this page, with this attribution: "(From Jaime Jasso, via DeviantArt.com, used w/o permission.)"

I trust that this is acceptable. If not, removing the image, link, and attribution would be a quick and simple process.
