I love how you made it look wet, really nice job on that. I really love frogs, I have two tattoos of poison arrow frogs. This is a really beautiful piece.

This is really nice! The manner you rendered the shape of the frog is very skillful. The dark spots and highlights are applied with a very free brushstroke. Great job!

Thank you all! Especially ~WingedIllusion; I appreciate the constructive criticism-- the spots on the side were on purpose, ^_^, so thanks. And you're right about the shadow and hind leg flattening out the image... I wouldn't have seen that for myself, so thank you very much for the insight!

This is quite nice, particularly the rendering on the front leg and its side. Good job with the gouache handling--I know most people consider watercolors to be notoriously difficult, but you handled it pretty well. I don't know whether or not it was intentional, but even the droplets on the sides provide a nice complement that mirror the spots on the frog as well. If it was an accident, it's what a lot of people would refer to as a "happy accident."
The head and torso of the frog are pretty good and you really get that 3-dimensional feel from it, but the hind legs and shadows beneath the frog kind of flatten the image out little bc of the streakiness. Just something to keep in mind.
