Description Some people have things hidden that mean so much to them. This tractor was one of them many things just sitting in the weeds, forgotten and blending into the earth

I love how the sepia makes 2 old junkers look like a work of art! Great photo! Makes me think about all the missed opportunities I've had with scenes like this. Great job.

Excellent shot. Although sad to see such a rare tractor in such a bad shape. Where is this tractor at? I'm a bit of a tractor collector and restorer.

Thank you,

I'm not sure if you're from around here but it's in Hebron, Ohio on Christland Hill Road, just past Lancer Road. I just happened to catch it sitting on some vacant property with an old house, barn and some old inter-urban cars. The tractor is sitting right next to the road and it's such a shame to let it rot. Who knows what treasures they have in the barn

I'm not quite that close. I live in the St. Louis area in Missouri. Its a shame to see old equipment like that sit. Some of the rarest and most expensive items are found in abandoned barns like that.

Is that an old train car sitting behind the tractor too?

I think there is an interurban car and also an old transit bus. It also looked like a bunch of old train cars in the field behind the barn.

When I get time, I will check it out a little more. It doesn't look like anyone lives on the property and there is no trespassing signs but I'd be interested in seeing who owns it. There is so much of that kind of thing around here,

Wow. Looks like the previous owner liked to collect odd things on a farm. How many farms have a train on them?

If you find any Farmall tractors let me know. I'm a bit of a collector.

All of your latest posts are wonderful...but this one does it for me...such a romantically poetic image. Very impressive work Julie

Yeah! Thank you, Richard That actually made my day because if you really like it, I must have done pretty good.

There hasn't been much time for me to take pictures but Sunday morning, I had to get out of the house and find something. It's my stress killer and the stress level has been a little elevated lately,

I think your approach to many photographic situations is intelligent with a documentary base to it. You are slowly building up a body of work that depicts rural living in the 21st century. I always love a well written photographic story

You do remind me of this often, I might work up the courage to interview some older farmers around here and take some shots. It might be pretty interesting.....

Excellent decision...one thing lacking in your photographic repertoire is environmental portraits of people in their space. Apply the same approach as you have done with the countryside and they should be great

Yep, you're right. I have to get out of the truck and talk to people instead of just driving down the road, seeing a cool shot and shooting it. This takes courage and you know? 20 seconds of bravery can turn your whole life around,
