Description Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year… because of the fabulous colours and the crisp smelling air. I can just imagine fairies playing music and dancing to the majestic colours of the leaves that seem to dance along to their melody…or maybe the leaves change colours with the musical tunes…?
P.s. One cannot see, due to the scan, but the dress has a beautiful golden shine/shimmer to it. I used golden paint to fit the FAE art Show theme of Garnets and Golds...

An OSWOA( Original Small Work of Art) piece done for the FAE Art SHow- Theme: Garnets and Golds

4x6 inches( 10x15cm), watercolours and coloured pencils on hot press watercolour paper

Thank you CArol, it is a shame that the scanner did not pick up the golden and silver sheen(glow) on her dress....I used gold and silver paint to enhance the glow on the folds! Looks really pretty when held in hte light!

Oh I can't wait to see. I am sure it will be beautiful, whatever medium you use. I am getting ready to start a new autumn piece today. I never heard back on the commission. So I am thinking they changed their mind about it. Take Care!

you did a beautiful entry, i feel so bad for not being able to contribute to the show but i want to if there is a new one i missed the EV (enchanted visions) one as well, dont think will be able to make that deadline, until i'm settled 100% can't really commit to deadline projects but i think by the next FAE show gets announced i will be ready

Don't feel bad!!! I know you were extremely busy and stressed out with the move! Is there another fairy/fantasy show...don't know about this Enchanted Visions thing?! But I am so late with Halloween aceos and prints and stuff....
I wanted to ask a question about prints....when you print out the prints in the standard US sizes...do you actually print the IMAGE to the standard size,i.e. 4x6, 5x7, 8x10 and then leave a bit of paper on the outside of these measurements for ease of framing? or do you actually cut the print to the actual standard size and the image itself is a bit smaller than i.e.5x7 for print size and 4.7 x 6.7 for image size?! SOrry to ask, but I have just found out that US paper sizes are different to EU (ISO 'A')paper sizes and it is difficult for me to find out how to print and how to trim the paper size to fit in frame. Arrrgh...you Americans are so awkward!

hi joanna hehe i know i get frustrated with printing stuff sometimes too,

this is the link to the EV shows [link]
they just created a new website etc...

about the prints the 4 x6 , 5x7 are printed on border less paper i buy
exactly same size of print paper so they come borderless, if i want to leave
border around them or get a request for that, i print the 5x7 artworks on 8 x10 printing paper
and the 4x6 on 5x7 print paper, but those i always do border less

BUT the 8.5 x 11 prints are printed with a while border around, if i print
it out in the entire printing paper it cuts off some of the image and some clients
may not like that
most artists print work i have seen for artworks that size they do it the same way.

My aceos i print them on 4 x6 printing paper i can fit 2 luckily my epson printing program came with a template to be able to place 2.5 x 3.5 images on 4x6 paper that i have to trim with my trimmer around after i print them out but the rest sizes no.
When i got my paint shop pro program years ago i didnt have the same variety of printing templates and used to print bunch of aceos on 8.5 x 11 paper which i hated and i didnt have a single 4x6 template or a 5x7 one like i have now, i had to print them out on a 8.5 x 11 size and then trim them, thank God epson came out with a better template
let me know how all works out, hope you're having a good weekend i finally putting up some of my art today
