last week I visited exhibition which included impressionist paintings. They made me realise that recently I care too much about the final effect to actually have fun. So with this paintings I decided to do exactly the opposite - concentrate on pleasure of painting withoutΒ  thinking too much about the resaults.

Wow this is very pretty!

Wonderful details in the leaves, though the real attraction is that luscious red and pinks of the delicious Plums and the wonderful little techniques and tricks used to create white spots, shading, blending, fading, smoothing, beautiful stuff.

I commemorate you on the lighting here aswell.. You really caught the sun light coming in one angle, and really went for those shadows under the leaves, and plum, etc.

The plums are painted with:
- scarlet
- madder lake red light (most visible)
- carmine
- a little bit of cadmium orange.

Ah... the closest I have to any of those is that I have "madder red". I have to see if I can duplicate it with the rest of my colours though. Thank you!
