Ahh~ Atsion lake...
XD
This place never ceased to amaze me. Especially how the water went from blue to tea colored, sometimes in the same day. I still can never figure out why the water was always warmer to the right of the red flags, haha.
Sadly no tadpoles in this pic...
Magnificent job showing the world that there still are some pearls left in Jersey...

Very nice. Looks like a bit of a tea-tree (water) lake. The colours of the water compliment the trees and the sky. Excellent shot.
I think i better add you to my dev-watch.

i love everything about this. the contrast of colors, the contrast of lines. flowing blue one way and red the other. the almost symmetry of the shore and the ripples of the water. lovely. almost think the trees could have been cropped out. the green color doesn't get complemented anywhere and the feeling of this photo is lost up there, imo.

Thank you, in one way I agree about the trees, in another I believe they are neccessary.
I think it has something to do with how this fits with my previous submission, ATSION.
interesting...

in my opinion, i believe the trees are vital for an obvious reason, their light and dark colours complete the representation of the rainbow spectrum. without them the picture would be less beautiful, but still beautiful nonetheless!

Thank you... I agree... and there seemed to be something unnatural about the whole spectrum here.

sorry, i'm not sure what you mean by unnatural (it's vague) :/ if it's no trouble, would you mind elaborating a bit? thanks

Unnatural as it appears to be artificial... the spectrum of color demonstrated in the water... it seems affected, but it is cedar water, and apparently naturally occurring.

also, without the trees, this would almost look like just another lake/beach picture - the body of water would seem to go much farther on the horizon. but with the trees, there is a more wild, intimate, and secluded connotation applied - which i much prefer... i might have just passed by this image and would possibibly not have been drawn to view it without their presence. knowwhati'msayin?

I believe they call it cedar water for the trees that line its edges and also provide that tone... that is partially a guess.

Very nice, looks much like any kerosene spill, and if such is the case, i would not desire to camp there at all. No but the trees are too green for that, so i must assume its not. That being said, the form is very nice, using the shoreline and the lines of colour to bring you up into the reflection of the fence(?) and into the fence itself, then framed neatly at the top by that all too natural imperfect and curver treeline. That and the colourpley makes for a very neat picture indeed.

I never saw anything like this before. I like the way that the green growth in the background seems to hold it down and give it context and structure. I think otherwise I might float off with it into some surreal kind of vision. What an unusual and stunning photograph. Even the debris in the foreground looks perfect.

I agree with you and love that you see it in a similar way.
As I had nothing to do with the placement of the debris, I am soothed by the thought of the water nudging it in such a pleasant direction while it swells and glistens ... absorption.
