Description Wait, should I call it "Olden Art" if it's newer than the earliest stuff in my gallery?  Well... yeah.  Why not?  It's a free country.  No one's gonna arrest me.  I done worse and gotten away with it!

This is a series of illustrations I did quite a few years ago for Butterfly Dragon 's version of Dungeons and Dragons, designed (by his thoughtful specifications) to showcase his idea of the various races which inhabit his campaign world.  He went to the trouble of posting them in his gallery, so it's high time I did the same.

I never really finished this stuff, but in my defense these fantasy planets tend to have whole damn bunches of different species of civilized creatures to mess around with.  It's much more intricate than Earth society.  We've got, like... one type of person.  All the other animals are too dumb to talk.  It's boring.  Bet it'll be at least another few decades before we mess around with genetic engineering and get our Rocket Raccoons walking around and making things interesting.

Incidentally, any questions regarding the natures of these various creatures should be directed towards Butterfly Dragon .  He's put much more thought into all this than I did.

You might notice that vertical crack in the middle of the face. That is because they are basically humanoid insect and just like most insects they have vertical jaws

Yeah, you'd be better off asking Butterfly Dragon .  He would know.
