Day 178.I spent all day getting Lily's cage ready to welcome in Rei and Bear, who've been in a separate cage up until tonight. Lots of cleaning, and then a trip to Goodwill to pick up some random stuff to make the cage a little more fun, exciting, and new for the 3 of them. I spent an hour or so walking around Goodwill thinking, "Would I want to run around on this? No, that's too big. What would I even do on that?" Ultimately I decided I should just be a rat and hang out with the 3 of them. After much thought I've come to the conclusion that I should be a standard capped rat who apparently still wears a miniature beanie. Productive day.
I should get Lily a beanie.

Laughing at both the comic and your commentary. Go get some PVC piping cute into various length. Sort of habitrail tubes for rats. We use to use them at the pet shop for our rats.

I was actually looking into that, but I haven't stopped at the hardware store yet. Also I'm not sure it'll fit in the cage? Honestly, for the 3 of them it's probably a little too small. I need to look into a bigger cage first and foremost.

Check out Goodwill. I have seen so many fish tanks there of so many sizes And if you have to, get 3 different ones and link them together with the PVC piping so they can visit each other and not be confined to one tank

We're not big on the glass tanks for them. They smell awful, means they can't climb the sides like they love so much, and from what I hear it's just not the best option for them. It's ok though. We're already looking into some options and seeing what we can and can't do. Just might be a little bit before we can actually do anything.
