Yes, he is the Triceratops in the Dinoforce.
Have you watched any of the Japanese seasons? I recall you've drawn several Headmaster pieces, although I know they are characters in many continuities...Β
Victory is a very good show, although not really connected to Transformers in anyway. It's only real connection is the Autobot and Decepticon Insignias, and the transforming aspect of the robots... But despite it being different, it has it's own charm. I found it very enjoyable! I'd recommend it, if you ever feel inclined to watch it! (Same with the other Japanese seasons: Headmasters, and Super-God-Masterforce)
Anyway. The Dinoforce is a group that got on my nerves when the show started, but as it progressed, they really grew on me. As I rewatch the show, I find that Kokuryu in particularly is one of my favorite characters!
Kokuryu's Transformer (robot) form actually resembles Grimlock quite a bit... So seeing this picture made me think that you'd draw a great picture of him!

I'll have to check them out, definitely. The headmasters especially were one of my favourite eras of G1.

I've never read any of the comics (unfortunately), so the knowledge I posses of the Headmasters in the American or British continuities is sparse (beyond the 3-episode S4 in G1)... But I really enjoyed the Japanese rendition. A good assortment of characters (although I understand everyone is quite a bit different here though, then in the other continuities... ), with good personalities...Β
Either way. All Transformers G1 is good. I always wanted to check out the comics, because I know I'm missing a lot when it comes to story, and such... All the same. I enjoy the show a lot. Seeing the the Japanese released seasons is a lot of fun.

If you want to check out the comics I'd start with Target: 2006 which is a great introduction. As long as you've seen the 86 animated movie you'll enjoy it. It introduces Galvatron, Ultra Magnus and the Wreckers and the art is fantastic.

Thanks very much. I used my Copic markers and one leaked all over me XD
unfortunately most of the colours I wanted to use had dried out so I had to use orange instead in some areas.

Grimlock looks great, especially his laser pistol.

Thanks! I thought I'd put in his pistol instead of his sword. It's a pretty iconic weapon itself.

It looks so good Joe! I feel the chrome and shiny effect on him and the cool smoke coming out of his Stunner Lasers. Overall well rendered and shaded!
