Description Name: Cursed Ghost Nightmare
Classification: Class 2
Height: Human-sized.
Weight: Unknown...
Abilities: Can use tendrils formed from the very darkness of its body to capture prey; can also form assortment of slashing and stabbing weapons to cripple and injure more challenging prey items. Can envelop its prey and absorb every bit of pureness from their hearts...leaving a stone-frozen husk behind in its wake.
Distinguishing characteristics: For the most part, it is a human-sized mass of darkness. When a potential victim is nearby, it has a pale, humanesque face appear and it makes the croaking noise so typical of its kind, coupled with an inhuman wail. The mere sight of it is said to be so terrifying that it paralyzes even the most courageous of souls in their tracks with fear.

BE ADVISED: This type of Nightmare is a Class 2, which makes it more powerful, more intelligent than its more common Class 3 bretheren...direct engagement without special armaments or skills is strongly ill-advised and can result in death.

John Barrix account: Of all the Nightmare species, I fear this one the most. Not only is it the most chilling Nightmare of the Class 2 variety, it is also one of the most dangerous. I should know; one those damn things formed an edged blade out of its very darkness, and sliced into the left side of my torso. Had it not been for the timely arrival of the RLS Argentum, I would have been a goner. My best advice? If you're not properly equipped or skilled to face a Cursed Ghost Nightmare, you better run the hell away from it. One over-confident step around this thing could be your last!

Er....yeah...

This is my interpretation of 's most terrifying enemy in her fic, the Cursed Ghost Nightmare...though the terror factor might be somewhat diminished do to the crappy quality of my artistic skills.

For example, those are supposed to be scythe-like structures coming out of those tendrils...but my mom even commented (to her own amusement) that they looked like bananas. --'

I think it's sweet that DF and KBM have faved your pic (and we both know it's not the best pic in the world ) but you didn't even fave this [link] which is better and was a birthday present

Maybe DF and KBM both think it's the thought that counts. Might be nice to adopt that way of thinking, too?

Anyways, it's good to see people drawing, so you should draw some more

Well, I faved KBM's picture...and I did tell her when she first posted the picture that I liked it and thanked her for it.

Well, this was just one of those "spur of the moment" sort of pictures. I was watching "The Grudge"...then got inspired to do my own iteration of DF-01's Cursed Ghost Nightmare.

Yeah... saying you like it and faving a gift are different things in my book. Each to their own though. I just think KBM gets a bad deal sometimes. Especially when I see you fave ll the pics other people do of your OCs. Anyway what you fave is up to you. I just said something cause, like I say, KBM gets a bad rep and doesn't realise it or say something about it, and I'm not hte only one who's noticed it seems. Oh well, my opinion.

Day of the Dead? What usually happens during this Mexican holiday?

Is very interesting, here's the wiki page if you fancy a skim through... [link]

They call it Dia De Los Muertos, and they celebrate all their dead friends and relatives. Which is cool, that they get a day of remembrance and celebration like that. I think it derives from Back in the Aztec era. They have decorated skulls and skeletons (not real ones anymore) and flowers and music and things. I imagine you've probably seen some of these skull type decorations and not realised they were associated with this

Aaaaaah, now that I remember, there was one part of the Mexico pavilion's boat ride that had the little animatronics celebrating the Day of the Dead.

One thing they've done different with "El Rio Del Tiempo" is that now, it features Donald Duck, Jose Carioca, and Panchito Pistoles aka "The Three Caballeros".

John-the-Enforcer In reply to HanakoFairhall [2009-11-01 12:58:54 +0000 UTC]

It's pretty scary, since its about a malevolent spirit that envelops those who encounter it and make them vanish without a trace.

It's pretty damned creepy, I'll tell you that...but the film it's based upon, "Ju-on" (by Toho Studios, believe it or not) is much scarier than the Americanized version...so tells me.
