Originally created by ONI as a means for studying worm-holes and time travel, the catalyst was later captured by Vaticinator Xel in one of the timelines, and weaponized to De'Claire's specifications. Though it is rumored that De'Claire inconspicuously provided the blueprints for the Catalyst to ONI in the first place.Though significantly smaller than the colony/ark ship EDEN, The Catalyst is powerful enough to destroy entire populations within a large radius with a single blast from it's integrated cybernetic pulse.

Question, if I'm doing some project that takes/copies elements and factors from other properties, for example your Halo story, would it still be considered plagiarism even if I keep this so called project to myself and share it with no one else?

To answer your first question, mainly the plot about the cybers and such. To answer your second question, for the fun of it. It's a hobby of mine to make universes and see how I can make what's within them connect. I don't plan on putting it out as my own original works. I just want to see if I'm any good at world building.

Like I said, I wasn't planning on stealing from you nor was I planning on making what's yours mine and claiming I made it. Your work, as well as the mainline stuff has only inspired me to try an make my own science fiction universe, to which I'm currently working on. I just have a hard time coming up with something original so I implement tidbits of other properties and mix it together. And I keep it to myself and myself alone as a simple and fun pass time.
