The thing I really love about this picture is that it's such a calm, quiet scene from an incredibly tumultuous, loud story. You can tell that the queen is dead, not dying, not only from her stillness but from how still Achilles is. Beautiful.

Very sad story. One senses that had things gone differently, they could have made a powerhouse couple (Achilles would have to break the Amazon desire to be separate from men, but I think mutual attraction and respect could have won out there)
