I love watching clouds: so many shapes seem to form within them, it's like they're trying to emulate life down on earth

Ah yes but life would not exist without them.

Looking into clouds or flames or watching the waves rolling in on the beach all these thing seem to be in some way therapeutic.

Quite true we all have to have sunny and rainy days to appreciate them (both)

Feel the same way. Smoke is also interesting to see. Do it when my friends smoke (I don't, by the way ). It's because the shapes and forms come from chaos or because it soothes our minds in some way.

It does look a little stormy though I didn't particularly intend it that way. I just went where the paint took me.

Yes I like a good storm myself but I do worry about high winds, our roof is tall and pointed and we have lost tiles in the past.

Personally I love when clouds look like this, the different tones are great and the contrast with your backgrounds adds color to the general toning of the frame.

Thanks. I think cloud watching is a great way to pass the time, but perhaps I haven't paid enough attention to them as subjects for paintings until now.
