Description The parents of this missing child chose a smiling, happy expression when asked to provide an identifying image for the police and public, in hopes of his recovery.

I painted this portrait from that image.

Oil on canvas.

I watched you on an old account and some of the childrens faces who you've painted stuck with me I had to find their portraits again. You have a really beautiful way of painting. I mean that in your style, but also how you use your talent to promote such a worthy cause and spread the message about missing children. Because it's not always on the news or in the media, it's an issue that can easily pass people by. I really admire the passion and time you've obviously put into remembering and thinking of missing children and it's a big comfort to know that there are people who care about those who are lost in the world.

i really like this one. i've been wondering about your style... this isnt just oil paint is it? It looks kinda like you through down gesso globs or hot glue underneath then go over with a coat of color. Am i right? or no?

good eyes...

there is alot of texture here, built up with wax medium mixed with the oils.

Thanks, remember, these missing children portraits were all painted from black and white photos, about 1inch square....

i find that amazing. here, there are no flyers of missing children. there are only pages in the newspapers sometimes, and they just go in a few months. i'm glad you've done so many portraits. ^^
