Description I was thinking... that it might seem like I'm really political. But I don't like political debate, I don't think any politician is flawless or God sent, I'm not loyal to any political party. Politics, in fact, depress me and stress me out! I do NOT like politics!

The reason I may seem "political" lately is because I realized how precious my freedom is here. How precious that freedom is to my future. And how easily it can be taken away. I don't want to wake up one day and find I no longer make the choices for my life. I want freedom and the responsibility that comes with it.

The only reason I care about politics, is because I care about my freedom.

I wish I could have made the text animation cooler, but photoshop is frustrating as an animation tool lol

When I was in London, England this past summer, I met with former member of Parliament Patrick Nicholls. He said something I'll never forget.

"America is a wonderful idea, the only problem is, you have politicians."

Everything is so heated and personal in the US. In Canada politics is very dull.

We would really need someone who is in for small government or better yet for self government.

Aye, small federal government. lol "self government" is what we're suppose to be XD

Very well said, indeed.

A lot of people seem to take their freedom for granted.

JohnYume In reply to Fayrore [2009-06-29 20:18:04 +0000 UTC]

So much so, that sadly that's half what is wrong with this country. People don't take on the responsibility, so their government picks it up for them.

I hope maybe I could help people realize how precious freedom is :/ but maybe other countries can do that better.

It's too bad that without politicians and politics we would have anarchy. Which would deny us freedom D:

JohnYume In reply to KazeKasai [2009-06-29 17:22:29 +0000 UTC]

No, that would be "absolute" freedom xD but freedom while running for our lives

I can realize we need them without liking them ^_^ (I'd probably die if I went into politics). We really don't need to rid of politicians or politics. We just need responsible people that love america aren't out for their own. And honestly a revamp of how we do things to get honest, uncorrupted, normal, but intelligent people in office again without them turning into what we been stuck with for decades.

Haha, yes but that is not truly the kind of freedom that is actually free, eh. It would be paid for in the blood of the weaker souls who couldn't run quite as fast. Mob group think is scary.

sure it's free... just not free of blood, free of fear, or free of violence, free of crime... but plenty of free drugs and good drinking. But definitely not free-for-all-ages rating.
