Lit up shot: [link]I like Cyndaquil. It was my first fire starter, as I actually started with Pikachu on my very first game. I named him Joey.
I failed on the picture taking with this one. Shrieker may have gotten a better shot, so I might reupload when she sends it to me. *wink wink nidge nudge* Until then you can just put up with this blurry version. I think it was already two days old by the time I took the pictures, so it sucks even more because of it. Sadness. Carved back on the 30th of September I think, just uploading it now for the same reason as Charmander.

Beautiful as always, though I kind of wished that, with the fire on his back, that it was more 'lit up' like you'd done in the past with Flareon's flame fur and Vaporeon's water fins. However, this is still very beautiful and thought out!

Yeah, this one's a bit older so I hadn't figured out that I needed to thin out the pumpkin a lot more for the fire to really shine. It's easier with watermelons since they're relatively thin to begin with.

Yeah I think this one could make a great update. I might try adding the other two fire starters I haven't done too, even though I'm not a huge fan of either of them.

I'm mostly annoyed that they all evolve into fire and fighting types. It was cool when it was just Blaziken, and kind of annoying with Infernape, but Emboar was just arg! I hope the next gen's fire starter is cool again!

They take anywhere from 2-6 hours. Not sure how long this one took, it's been awhile.

Thanks! I basically shaved off bits of pumpkin skin at different depths. So the darker parts have more pumpkin flesh to shine through. It's really weird to describe.

I've never carved a pumkin before, so i cant imagen how hard it could have been to make this. I can imagen how stressfull it could have been if part of it messed up

I'll let you in on another pumpkin carving secret. If a chunk you need to cut out is stuck, whatever you do, don't yank it! I actually lost a chunk of the flames by trying to use brute force.

I tend to push chunks into the pumpkin once they're loose. It actually helps to keep down the mess some. After I'm done I just dump the lot out.
