When I was a kid this battle scared the hell out of me because of how terrifying Ganon was, the music was ominous, the atmosphere adds the right sense of dread, and the lighting made it so you could barely see what Ganon actually look like. This reason alone is why i prefer the N64 version of this fight over the 3DS version, there was too much color and lighting in the fight.

That's a terrible attitude to have. Your fan work is great and all but what's more important is who YOU are. And you're more than just a fan of Nights, Kingdom Hearts and the Legend of Zelda.
Don't let fan work take the lead cause these stories are already beloved and cherished for many years now. So if my math is correct, that means it's your turn to stand up and shine.

but I actually have been thinking about my original stuff recently with all the NiGHTS stuff I've been posting. b/c my favorite theme is Childhood, children's imagination/fantasy, stories told in a kid's perspective, etc...
like: home alone, never ending story, wizard of OZ, the Goonies etc.

That's fine, even if you're just channelling similar themes you get from Nights into something original your doing. And stories such as the one you describe are so comforting, sadly the only examples I can currently think up are Ghibli films, though I have seen the ones you've listed. Do Labyrinth and the dark crystal fall into this list?
Anyway, of all the songs on the playlist, I think my favorites came from Journey of Dreams. They just feel so innocent and genuine.
