Description This piece was directly inspired by the works of and I urge you to view her works, for she's a great artist, and a wonderful inspiration

I was curious about the techniques that she uses in her excellent pieces, so I determined to sit down and do a "Lara Style" picture, just to learn more about what techniques are done.

HARD work lol

Anyhow.. this piece'll be going into my scraps, since its a result of trying to figure out how another artist works, and I hope ya'll dont think me ripping (and hopefully you take it in the spirit it was intended, Lara; I know the ripping issues youve had of late) .. it was just an experimental learning experience, and theres honestly quite a ton of my own style of things in this as well (so i guess a combo of everything)

But at the same time, I love how it came out, and I wanted to thank Lara for the constant AWESOME work she produces.

So thanks Lara, you do incredible work, and after playing around I definately have heart for how much you really do to get them there.

The model in this is my model

Again, be sure you check out 's work. YOU WILL NOT be disappointed!
Shes also MUCH better at this than I

If you're "inspired" to give feedback, it WOULD be greatly appreciated. Spent a long time on this, and tried to give it a good amount of my own life as well heh

This style is quite a departure from your usual style, but it works very well! Very beautifully done...love your use of texture and light!

As usual I see you hit the mind, you hit the target in its center, you are so clever! A genius, I think. Forgive me for being relly away and commenting less than before...

I like the tones and the use of lighting on her face. The blue colors work really well and give it a great 'lonely/icy' feel.

as always ira, a unique and very reflective statement expressed through such subtle emotions displayed in your work, which is always soothing, even in a dark way -p.

It's not a problem, I don't think of it as a rip at all. I like seeing people try and do my style, as I always think I don't have one

This is great though, I love her expression and the texture is great.
Take care.

*claps*

I don't think that would be considered ripping...it is also very much influenced by your own normal style, I think, and that is definitely not a bad thing.

Another excellent job!

makes you wonder what she's thinking, what she's looking at.

actually it kind of looks like that isn't her hand. and as though she's going to bash herself. or that "other hand" will bash her.

that amuses me

ugh this is so prefect for right now..
i think you did a splendid jo on this technique..
the grungy feel gets everything across so well..
and the tones are lovely also..

but the feeling of this (like all your works) have a way
of jumping out and hitting me in the gut..
i can always feel such emotion in your work,
even if this was just an experiment..

the look of complete blankness, and
hoping for something to strike..
i use art as a way to express emotion (in my own way)
and so when i cant do anything, and i feel i lack
inspiration (like now..) it feels like
i cant get anything i need to say or express out..
and its an intense feeling of build up..when it all piles
and nothing comes out..

i ramble, and this was just experimentation, but
i felt something from this..and i love it..

awesome work
