That is a cool looking design.
A few things that could be improved spring to my mind, though:
- I tend to appreciate some attempt at technical explanations on how it works and, in this case, what sort of racing environment it is for - except if the artwork makes it obvious.
- for a racer, the cockpit area is pretty tall which creates more drag.
- the leading edges of fin, wing tip plates, and some other features  look pretty angular. It doesn't seem quite right, at least for atmospheric use.
- I see all sorts of openings towards the front. They look cool but I think a racer design would try to eliminate such drag-inducing things if possible. It is another thing if they are for weapons that are used during a race.

Thanks a lot for your comment!  I really appreciate this kind of critic since they focus more on design than drawing skill (this is an old drawing so i did improve on my art but design is always something you can improve and often overlooked).  I also looked at your profile and i really love your pictures.  You don't mind if i use some for references for the future? i will credit you of course!

Of course I have my personal preferences, and it is quite possible that I confuse preference with knowing about something

I'd be interested to see what  you make out of my "mutations". I think everything I've done is a development of something from the real world, or borrows features from something I've seen elsewhere.
