I think I'll start posting the prints while they're still works in progress and update with major steps.
So in this case, here's Captain Phasma from Star Wars. In the film she has yet to take her helmet off (she is on set for the next film), so for her face I'm entirely basing it off Gwendoline Cristie's red carpet appearances (hopefully I won't have to rework this print after the fact).
The next step is going to be shading the body. The hair, face, and cape are all going to be pretty straight forward, it's the metal that's going to take a while. Given how chrome works (and my prior experience shading a pic with here) I'll likely have to run some 10 layers on it to make it shine right (otherwise it just looks like dulled plate mail). Will be fun/worth it, though.
