Subject: A Corn Snake (if I'm not mistaken).Camera: Nikon D7000.
Location: Pet Store.
Date Taken: 06/26/11.
Comment: I know it's a bit fuzzy, as I was using Auto-ISO at the time. The tank was quite a bit on the darker side.

I love how crisp and clear the shot is (mostly). The fuzzy bit in the middle is rather distracting though. I'm not really sure what happened there, but it messes with the flow a bit. The rest though, is very impressive - you've really captured the smooth texture of the scales and the shininess in the eye. I like that you've captured the head hanging out over empty space - it's much more original than another coiled up snake in its tank. The earthy tones of the scales stand out nicely against the blue in the background. You've also utilized the rule of thirds quite effectively with your placement of the eye to the far right, and the composition is divided neatly in half by the subject itself.

Thanks for the honest (and kind) critiqué, and thanks for pointing out the distracting blur in the middle! When I figure out what exactly caused it, I'll be more careful to keep an eye out for it next time.
