Probably a quirk of mine but I find natural gray mood lighting like this rather sexy. It creates such an intriguing atmosphere. And the tracks left in the mud -- bicycle, sleigh, amphibious bus...?

When I have seen this picture, have thought that it is a typical landscape for Russia or northern Kazakhstan. But when I have learned that you from United Kingdom, I was surprised.

Because there are full grown birch trees and the muddy road leading to the water I somehow feel that the area was flooded only quite recently. It's a beautiful painting and you know it
