I share your thoughts about all those scenes , I love them too , especially the ride of the rohirrim , the music of this scene just lifts me up .
Well I actually love all the scenes in all the movies and the books , Bit freaked I know .

I have the "Complete Recordings" sdtk and all 3 extended edition movies.. if I thought I loved it before, I was so wrong... so many epic scenes that were cut out.. it's a pity

and no that's not wrong at all probably one of my favorite moments in the music is where the moth shows up in isengard.. LOVE that part

And Indeed the scenes from the extended version(which I luckely do have) are wonderful , many of the are my fav scenes .

My favorite music scenes would have to be Theodred's funeral (OMG Miranda Otto should do an album or something..) and Pippin's song *sigh* and and OF COURSE.... Aragorn. Just Aragorn. Wow, can that man sing *ish a fangirl* I went nuts when I was watching ROTK for, like, the millionth time and finally realized that he sang there at the end *sigh*

and of course, Ian McKellan has an Easter Egg for ya, if you listen close in FOTR

Yes, it's the other great love story in LOTR! And the stories there in the houses of healing with Aragorn..well, they are just heartwarming...to me that is! I can "see" the old lady going on about "didn't I tell you?"....
