Description I was going through some of my really old folders and I found a ton stuff I hadn't seen, some, for more then ten years. Back in the early '90s it was a good time to be collecting comic books. Most of the really good artists at Marvel who were tired of not owning the characters in the series they were working on decided to leave and form their own creator controlled company Image comics. Wildcats was probably my favorite, mostly because it was Jim Lee's series and he is one of the artist gods I still worship to this day Unfortunately, once he stopped drawing for the series the art took a quick nosedive and they never really could find many good artists to work on the series so I would only get the issues that had decent art, which wasn't that many.

Zealot was one of my favorite characters on the team, because she's a hot deadly chick with swords I guess she and Grifter had a relationship together, I really can't remember much of the series, but they look good together. I didn't put a date on this drawing but I'm pretty sure, based on how the characters looked that it was in 1993. That's when I drew most of the Image comics stuff. I just added gun fire with a little Paint Shop.

lol @ the flashback

Jim Lee had an impact all over. Omega Red, Zealot, so many folks drawn and sketched. Too bad the cartoon was horrifyingly bad

When Jim Lee hit it big in the comics I started seeing so many artists try to emulate his style, myself included. But I had the advantage of not being that good at the time so when I did improve I started to develop my own style that today doesn't resemble Mr. Lee's that much. In this piece you can see Jim Lee's influence all over the place, especially the eyes, those are Jim Lee eyes But the anatomy of my people greatly improved thanks to him.

I gotta agree with you about the show. I saw the first episode and that was enough for me to never see it ever again

Wow, I remember these two, though I only remember them from the the animated show, and you did this back in 93!? You are amazing.
