Why thank you very much for that compliment! That was specifically what I was trying for with this
Truthfully, I'm finding more and more in my day to day activities that I actually have fairly unsteady hands (you'll see it in the thinner lines, much better artists can make those perfectly smooth and sharp with a pen, I come out shaky despite my best effort). So I thought I'd implement several tricks to try for better results with this:
Of course this has an underlying sketch done very lightly then erased in pencil, I could never slam out something polished like this spontaneously.
This is a bust because it was purposely drawn very large, it takes up the whole page! That way, my lines could be actually individually drawn to the desired thickness and have room for details. When I say drawn, I mean I literally outlined the thickness and arc I wanted, then filled them in. I ultimately used 3 different sized pens on this, but the emphasized thicker lines were drawn and filled with a thin tip as I just said rather than being done with a steady brush-stroke with a thicker pen.
This way, I got those cleaner lines without my unsteady hand getting in the way. Unfortunately this technique can't really be used with regularly sized sketches, which I'd need to do for full-bodied characters and environments. Can't do fat chunky lines with everything that small!
In the end it's all in practicing of course, never stop learning by trial and error! I recommend buying a good set of pens meant for art though. I scooped up a 5 piece set specifically for manga drawing at a local Michael's near the town I live.

Thank you so much,
I don't really think i'll be using that technique though,
i tend to draw things on a smaller scale..
