Your designs should have been used for the Detective Pikachu movie one hundred and ten percent. They're all believable looking creatures, but are still entirely recognizable.

Awwww, Poliwhirl just looks darling here! Plus I appreciate he looks more like a frog here (Seriously, when I was a little kid I had no idea Poliwhirl was supposed to be a frog...)

He's so adorable! Poliwhirl has always been my favorite Pokemon and just when I thought he couldn't get any more cuter from Poliwag. X3

These are really good! Love the interpretation to put his mouth along the top edge of the circle, it works great!

Love his hidden frog - mouth, nice interpretation. How'd you manage to do his eyes?

Those eyes are incredibly realistic. The texture is really unique. Though I can't get over the 'hands and feet' they seem rushed or underdeveloped but over all? This is impressive work.

The hands and feet were on purpose based on the original design. Poliwhirl, unlike its evolution Politoad, doesn't have fingers or toes on its feet. I, therefore, have to think when turning it into a real creature that this is an evolutionary trait, rather than a lazy cartoon artist. Though Poliwhirl stands on its hind legs, the arms are designed for physical defense as part of its transition into a water/fighting type. Because their legs are now less about jumping and swimming, they become smaller and less defined. The toes and fingers fuse, the hand becoming a fleshy glove and the feet more of a paddle than webbed toes. This is due to its natural evolutionary transition from water to a fighting type. I'd imagine that as they evolve, Poliwhirl would eventually shed their water type to become full fighting type and never return to water.

More like fused as it naturally evolves from a water type into a fighting type.
