At first I really really really really REALLY HATED THIS
they combined and I was like YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

But then I thought about it a bit.. and realized, hey, maybe if they could reconcile and become one person--a new person--they could be kinda cute. And it would be a way for me to be able to forgive Vriska (because I would like her otherwise) and have a bit of Tavbaby left.

Ahaha then Tavrisprite went 'splode and a whole day's worth of feels became pointless???

Yeah, I was kinda TO'd that the first Homestuck update in forever that really caught me off-guard was undone a mere 20 hours later. Seeing Tavrisprite work out his/her issues while adventuring with Jane would have been really cool.

Naw not that I've seen?
Of course my personal headcanon is, that since it outwardly has a lot of Vriska's appreance (hair, eyes, mouth, blue color, etc) that it's physically male--but that's just me.

And I dunno yet! Waiting for an update to explain it just like you man! XD I mean their eyes had no pupils but that could just be because they were drawn really small. HMMM
