Pencil drawing; 32x25 cmI used 2B, 6B and a mechanical pencil
It took me about 6 hours to draw it, which I mostly spent on drawing the background (actually I think I should have stopped drawing it earlier because when it comes to the background it looked better after about 5 hours of drawing; now it's a bit too dark
)...

This is really good. Great treatment of the background...it really lends focus to the figure. I really like the way the figure is posed...it conveys very strong emotion.

I like this alot. The background works really well like that I think, it adds great depth to the image which I don't think it would do so well if it was lighter. really nice piece

The technique I used to draw the background was exectly something like crosshatching: I've just made short lines with the pencil - first a few in one direction and than in another and so on, and so on...

That's obviously a creepy image, and the subtlety of her head being all squished is nice. I think more attention could have been paid to her muscle tones... seems a lot of dark, not a lot of midrange. Except in the legs. Her legs are fantastic. ; ) also, the darker BG (though I dunno what it looked like before) is nice. Otherwise, I think the figrue would have stood out TOO Much.

If I could choose anything I wanted to be really good at it'd be drawing. I just love pencil drawings, I guess because you can't fake them, you have to have the talent to make them look this good.

I think many people have the talent to draw which they're not concious of - they just have to practise a lot and the results would be so good that they had never expected

Woah! I wonder where these two photographers took their ideas for this two photos??? Do they know the Polish act photographer Waclaw Wantuch? Because my refference photo for this drawing was his album...
