Sorry, the software I used for the recording screwed up big time. I trust that the next video will be more learnable.Β
I'm not showing off nor trying to stress you, but as stated on the video description, I used 2 layers for the background, 3 layers for the character and a few others for color effects.

I don't think I've ever done more than 5 layers
and if I did it was super complicated
I've just seen people who do like 60-some layers per drawing
then even more ridiculous ones like 230
how would they even keep track of any of that?

that was magic (to watch the process) and I realized that the way you drew the bird was exactly what i imagined for a swallow bird tattoo i planed on my side without really clearly being able to visualize the wings !
and poor lil princess! i can't start to imagine what the Fool had better to do to let her hanging there! (assuming video games didn't exist in that era in your storyline)

If I were you, I'd reference the bird from a picture rather than my drawing simply because I didn't draw the left wing correctly (though I had sketched it correctly, when I painted it I screw up)

AMAZING picture!
I love how the perspective is drawn so that you can still see the hallway in the back and the stairs going up! I also like how the colours are a bit dark (probably because Kairy is sad) but that there is still some light coming through the window (probably representing the happiness jack gives her?). Atleast that's what I see when I look at this picture.....sorry if I am wrong >//w//< I also like the detail of her dress and of the background!

Yes, the dark and cold colors are suppose to reflect Kairy's emotion, empty and silence. The warm colors weren't meant to represent Jack, but that's a really nice way to put it!! ^^

LOL aww Hetii the BG is not as complicated as it might look. Stairs are a pain in the butt to draw, though, specially with perspective. But I just keep in mind that the higher the steps are from my eye level, the less I can see from its top side (the side you step on) the lower it is, the more you can see it. ^^
