Corky doing her perfect vertical spin. I've always liked the way the water comes off her dorsal, but capturing it at night gives a whole new impression.Photo Information:

Canons seem to do better than most when it comes to less noise at higher ISOs. I did use an external flash, which helps, and in processing, I sent the image though noise reduction. Sometimes playing with contrast can reduce the appearance of noise as well.

Most of my dark shots that have high ISO speeds contain a lot of noise, so I'm guessing when my SWC trip comes around I'll need to send those with a lot through noise reduction. P:

Beautiful colors for sure. The theater lighting really adds to the photos. The reflection patterns on the water and on Corky are very cool. Though it is a challenge I love shooting at night. Great camera work!

Thank you so much! Yes, it was taken during the Holiday show. The end of the show, "Joy to the World," had the most action...I think that's when I shot this. Although, it might have been the "Christmas Eve" (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) portion.

I love this shot because of two reasons.
1: The crimson lighting and water coming off of Corky.
2: Her vertical angle and cyclonic turbulence.
Both wonderfully captured!
