Description These files are all the production images i've created and their sub branches and design directions.

A brief background: Rain was commission to do a 18x28 inch 3 Panel display for a Photo finishing store here in the Philippines. The job was not easy as it may sound. Some people here would contest that designing 3 panel display for print would be an easy task, but for me, it not just visual representation. Its all about communication and emotional attraction. We start everything from scratch. As of this moment, this series will explore the whole production process of the project. Showing you the initial design the direction and hopefully the final product.

These images are series of production files that we've created for the client. This includes the design of each panel and color studies that would match the whole concept.

Everything was done in Adobe Illustrator with some help from Photoshop. This is the first time that Rain explore this kind of design. From the application of colors to the visual experiments we've done to the pictures. The road is not easy though, we have lots of revisions and changes, colors and layout experiments. This project make Adobe Bridge so important for my production process. I would recommend this program to artists to streamline their production. Its better that the default OS file dialog.

There are series of inspiration here:

I use the Apple website breadcrumb design for the prices and the information elements of the production.

The visual design and approach was common i would assume. But the commonality of the design matches the need of the client. I know that lots of artist now a days uses swirls, curves and floral ornaments for their design. That's cool! I might join the "floral ornamental band wagon". But I realize that there are limits to what design has to go and what has to stay. I might be tempted to put all sorts of ornaments in every piece of the panel. But I ask myself, what would be its relevance? aestetically, would it look good? I did try some but don't feel much of it.

So I stick with the original design, the colorful curvy lines.

The whole goal of the panel design is to show the colorful world of the company. So i play around with colors and movements to make it dynamic and moving.

On a lighter side:
Some people may say that the design was not original or new, but hey! Who cares right? We have all subject view of the arts and design. Design for me is not geared towards creating the next big thing or creating the next Mona Lisa, but my goal is to provide my clients a way to visualize their visions. And in return make my clients happy. (But in any case you can do both) Anyways, some people may look at it as beauty or source of inspiration, some people may look at it as "Yeah, I've seen it already." But whats important is the value of knowledge gain in every experience and process. Everyone needs inspiration! No one says that graphic design is easy anyway.

Stay tune for the next production series.
